About two years ago I decided to start a cardio/running program. I started out too aggressively and ended up with a tibial stress fracture. The fracture healed, however, I was left with chronic pain and swelling and could not even walk slowly for 20 minutes without tremendous pain. My orthopedic surgeon told me I would never be able to run again and would have to limit my cardio to bike riding and swimming. He offered cortisone injections for the pain and said I would eventually have to have the tendon replaced. I had a degenerative posterior tibial tendon. About that same time I started seeing Alison for personal training. She also introduced me to M.A.T.

For the first time in two years, the swelling subsided and I was able to start doing cardio other than just bike riding because of the M.A.T. sessions. I am now able to jog and hike! I have also always had a difficult time with weight training because I have Fibromyalgia. For over 10 years, I have had to deal with chronic pain in my shoulder and neck. With the help of M.A.T. treatments, I was able to be successful with weight training without pain. After dealing with chronic pain for over 10 years, I have finally found the solution! Muscle Activation Techniques along with personal training.  Alison has truly helped me become the best that I can be!
